ALEXIS FLORES IS WANTED FOR HIS ALLEGED INVOLVEMENT IN THE KIDNAPPING AND MURDER OF A FIVE-YEAR-OLD GIRL IN PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA. THE GIRL WAS REPORTED MISSING IN LATE JULY OF 2000, AND LATER FOUND STRANGLED TO DEATH IN A NEARBY APARTMENT IN EARLY AUGUST OF 2000.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading directly to the arrest of Alexis Flores.

8. VICTOR MANUEL GERENA

VICTOR MANUEL GERENA IS BEING SOUGHT IN CONNECTION WITH THE ARMED ROBBERY OF APPROXIMATELY $7 MILLION FROM A SECURITY COMPANY IN CONNECTICUT IN 1983. HE ALLEGEDLY TOOK TWO SECURITY EMPLOYEES HOSTAGE AT GUNPOINT AND THEN HANDCUFFED, BOUND AND INJECTED THEM WITH AN UNKNOWN SUBSTANCE IN ORDER TO FURTHER DISABLE THEM.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to one million dollars for information leading directly to the arrest of Victor Manuel Gerena.

7. GLEN STEWART GODWIN

GLEN STEWART GODWIN IS BEING SOUGHT FOR HIS 1987 ESCAPE FROM FOLSOM STATE PRISON IN CALIFORNIA, WHERE HE WAS SERVING A LENGTHY SENTENCE FOR MURDER. LATER IN 1987, GODWIN WAS ARRESTED FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING IN PUERTA VALLARTA, MEXICO. AFTER BEING CONVICTED, HE WAS SENT TO A PRISON IN GUADALAJARA. IN APRIL OF 1991, GODWIN ALLEGEDLY MURDERED A FELLOW INMATE AND THEN ESCAPED FIVE MONTHS LATER.

6. EMIGDIO PRECIADO JR.

EMIGDIO PRECIADO JR. IS WANTED FOR AN ATTACK ON TWO LOS ANGELES COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT DEPUTIES ON SEPTEMBER 5, 2000, IN WHITTIER, CALIFORNIA, DURING A ROUTINE TRAFFIC STOP. PRECIADO FIRED TWENTY-ONE ROUNDS FROM AN ASSAULT RIFLE, STRIKING ONE OF THE DEPUTIES IN THE HEAD.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $150,000 for information leading directly to the arrest of Emigdio Preciado Jr.

5. ROBERT WILLIAM FISHER

ROBERT WILLIAM FISHER IS WANTED FOR ALLEGEDLY KILLING HIS WIFE AND TWO YOUNG CHILDREN AND THEN BLOWING UP THE HOUSE IN WHICH THEY ALL LIVED IN SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA IN APRIL OF 2001.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading directly to the arrest of Robert William Fisher.


4. JASON DEREK BROWN

JASON DEREK BROWN IS WANTED FOR MURDER AND ARMED ROBBERY IN PHOENIX, ARIZONA. DURING NOVEMBER OF 2004, BROWN ALLEGEDLY SHOT AND KILLED AN ARMORED CAR GUARD OUTSIDE A MOVIE THEATER AND THEN FLED WITH THE MONEY.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading directly to the arrest of Jason Derek Brown.

Homeless man found dead in Centennial Park

A homeless man was found dead outside a building in Centennial Park on West End Avenue overnight, according to police. He had been stabbed.

A Parks sergeant found the deceased victim on the stairs to an arts and crafts building, police said. After the medical examiner arrived, it was determined that the man, who was in his 50s, had been stabbed.

The victim had a recent hospital bracelet and bandage marks, police said.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The rate of suicides among-active duty soldiers is on pace to surpass both last year's numbers and the rate of suicide in the general U.S. population for the first time since the Vietnam war, according to U.S. Army officials.
Officials attribute the rise in suicides to anxiety and stress from increased operations and more deployments.

As of August, 62 Army soldiers have committed suicide, and 31 cases of possible suicide remain under investigation, according to Army statistics. Last year, the Army recorded 115 suicides among its ranks, which was also higher than the previous year.

Army officials said that if the trend continues this year, it will pass the nation's suicide rate of 19.5 people per 100,000, a 2005 figure considered the most recent by the government.

Bo Diddley Rock Legend dies at age 79

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Bo Diddley, a founding father of rock ’n’ roll whose distinctive “shave and a haircut, two bits” rhythm and innovative guitar effects inspired legions of other musicians, died Monday after months of ill health. He was 79.

Diddley died of heart failure at his home in Archer, Fla., spokeswoman Susan Clary said. He had suffered a heart attack in August, three months after suffering a stroke while touring in Iowa. Doctors said the stroke affected his ability to speak, and he had returned to Florida to continue rehabilitation.

This has been the most difficult week of my life. My father passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Mother’s Day. I had just been with him a few hours earlier and he was his normal upbeat, energetic self, joking around with my kids and me. Around 6:45 PM, he was up on a ladder in his back yard working on a roof for a deck that he was building. My mom went out to check on him around 7PM and he was on the ground, face down, laying on his head and shoulder and his face was purple. There were boards lying on top of him. Apparently, he had fallen off the ladder while he was working. He wasn’t breathing and had no pulse. When I got there the paramedics were working on him and trying to revive him. I begged and begged my father to come back to us, up to the very last second that they loaded him in the ambulance. They continued to try to revive him at the hospital to no avail. I was in the room with him holding his hand and weeping over him when the doctors finally gave up and called the time of death. At first we thought that he died as a result of the fall. However, the doctors, nurses, and medical examiner believe that he had a heart attack and then fell off the ladder. He was still so young and had so many more years to live.

Woman indicted in MySpace suicide case (Video)

A federal grand jury on Thursday indicted a Missouri woman for her alleged role in perpetrating a MySpace online hoax on a 13-year-old neighbor girl who committed suicide. Lori Drew of suburban St. Louis was charged with one count of conspiracy and three counts of accessing protected computers without authorization to obtain information to inflict emotional distress on the girl.

She's accused of helping create a MySpace account to contact Megan Meier.

Megan hanged herself at home in October 2006 after receiving cruel messages, including one saying the world would be better off without her. The 33-year-old Drew has denied creating the account or sending messages to Megan. But last month an employee of Drew told "Good Morning America" that Drew did write some of the messages.

Users on MySpace must be at least 14, though Megan was not when she opened her account. A MySpace spokeswoman did not return calls seeking comment.
Someone using Josh's account was sending cruel messages. Then, Megan called her mother, saying electronic bulletins were being posted about her, saying things like, "Megan Meier is a slut. Megan Meier is fat."

Megan's parents are now separated and plan to divorce.
Megan sometimes suffered from low self-esteem and was on medication at the time of her death. "That is what makes it even more disgusting, that she knew the circumstances around our daughter and still played on it," said Megan's father, Ron Meier. - Story From OS9USER Blog

Facebook Murders - Case #1

A husband is believed to have murdered his wife before killing himself after she told friends on Facebook they were splitting up, it emerged yesterday.
Tracey Grinhaff's body was found in a shed in the back garden of the family home she shared with her husband, Gary, and their two young daughters, aged 14 and four.
An hour later, officers discovered the body of Mr Grinhaff, 41, an electrical engineer, in woodland nearby.

Both had died of head injuries, although police said Mr Grinhaff's were self-inflicted.

Less than a fortnight ago Mrs Grinhaff, 42, updated her profile on the social networking site, Facebook, telling friends she was "currently splitting" from her husband.
She added: "Been married for 16 years but together for 26!!!! God that makes me sound old."

Neighbours in the town of Wombwell, near Barnsley, South Yorkshire, yesterday described the couple and their children as "the perfect little family."
